Detailed Professional Experiences
(1) Was engaged in the field of Sales & Marketing, as a Sales Representative under
“M/s Speed Sales Pvt.Ltd, Guwahati a sole distributor of Merloni Termosanitary India Ltd popularly known as “RACOLD”
Term : - May’2000 to Apil’2002.
Profile : - Sales Job in Dealer Networking (Trade) & Institutional.

 Joined “Usha International Ltd, Guwahati” as a Sales Executive in Institutional Sales Division in April’2002.
In Oct’2003 promoted as an Area Sales Executive looking after for Territory-1
Which covered Itanagar,Naharlagun,NLP,Dhemaji,Tezpur,Upper Assam,Dimapur
And partially Guwahati.
Profile : -The Institutional Sales deptt.of Usha is named as “Govt.Sales Div.”
I have to report to the PIC (Product in Charge) of the Guwahati division. Also in some specific assignment I have to repot to the N.E Divisional Head.(DM)
We always plan & work on Stretch Targets for planned growth of the company. By achieving only Budgetary Targets we earn our Quarterly/Annual Incentives.
There are basically three (3) Sales Segments under Govt Sales Div.
(A) DGS&D Sales: -Every year Usha participated in DGS&D Rate Contract Tendering and get awarded Rate Contract for Usha Ceiling Fans & Usha Shriram Water Coolers.
-In DGS&D Sales Segment I have to make calls to various DDO’s (Direct Demanding Officers) for procuring orders in prescribed 131 formats.
-At the time of collecting these orders I have to check the accuracy of it
-All OK orders I have to send to my factory at Hyderabad (Fans) & Faridabad (Water Coolers).
-Factory arranges Inspection of the ordered materials and bills to concern consignee/consignees.
-After delivery of materials I have to collect Inspection Notes duly seal and signed by the consignee.
-Then I send these I-Note copies to my HO to get the payment from PAO.
• This was the normal routine work in DGS&D Sales. In addition to these I have to arrange various Amendments & D.P Extensions etc from the Indentors.
• I have to follow up with the OBA appointed in various Depts. & Towns.
(B) CBB Sales: -CBB stands for Commercial Bulk Buyers. Except authorized
dealer & any individual, every concern is a CBB customer.
-This is a very important segment where our work become much more
challenging.
-Basically here, we have to make list of some suspected customers,
then have to make sales call, then we find some prospects, then we try to
mature these prospects i.e. convert to SALE.
Then in Sale to a CBB customer:
-We initially negotiate with the customer Rates/Payment Terms/Delivery
Period/Installation etc.

-Then will create party CODE in System (SAP)
-As per order we punched the materials and supply/deliver to the party.
-If the payment term is credit we have to submit bills and accordingly we
collect payments/Concessional Sale Tax forms/TDS etc in due time.
• In CBB segment we participate in various Open Tender and try to become L-1 and get orders.
• We organize get together of Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Builders for expose of our products.
• Also conduct product-training programme to Electricians, Plumbers etc.
(C) CSD Sales: - Canteen Stores Deptt. is one of the important segment of Usha where the Turn Over is next to Civil Trade Sales.So, we have a very important role to play here. It’s a vast course. In CSD there are 4 (four) depots that we have to look after.i.e Dimapur, Narangi, Missamari & Massimpur.And there are at around 15 to 20 Unit Rest Canteens (URC’s) under each depot. We work in both at depot level & at URC level. There we have to maintain a very good PR with all officials for getting the expected business from all the concern outlets.
AT URC LEVEL:
• We visit minimum once in a month to every URC.in some major URC we may visit 2/3 times in a month if required.
• There we have to maintain an excellent PR with the Managers who are very much important to us for generating business.
• We generate orders for our products and also influence them for fast liquidation of our products.
• We collect some spot orders from the manager and bring it to the depot.
• We arrange proper display of our products by providing Showcase to some important URC’s.
• Also provide Glow Signs to major/large URC’s.
• We conduct Demo cum Service Mela in every possible areas & URC’s minimum once/twice annually.
AT DEPOT LEVEL:
• We have to maintain excellent PR to depot Managers, Gr-Store Keepers, CSK’s etc, etc.
• Normally we keep in touch with Gr- Store Keepers, which helps us to liquidate our products fast.
• We generate Secondary (Supplementary) demands from depot managers.
• Collect BFA from Accountants and send it our HO for payment follow up.
• There also we organize Service Mela and Exhibitions.
• Also provide Spot Service at depot level by our mechanics to minimize the CSD unprice invoice on our products.
• We visit our depots once twice a month.
These are a few of routine works in CSD Segment.

Profile at Present:
Promoted as Asstt Sales Manager, head of a product i.e. “Govt Sales” in May’07.
My team strength is One + Two. (PIC + 2 Area Sales Executives)
Responsible for whole divisional-targeted sales & collection.
In addition to the above three segments this year civil trade sales of Usha Shriram Water Coolers has also been assigned to Govt Sales Division. Here also looking after targeted sales & collection for the entire N.E region. Appointing potential dealers and distributors, generating business and customer demands by developing and exploring market through dealers, sub-dealers, OBA agents.
All these with ongoing responsibilities of maintaining ISO regulated files and regulatory.
Achievement:
(i) In Speed Sales Pvt Ltd:
• Achieved 100 % order for a large qty of water heaters from IIT, Guwahati in the financial year 2001-02.
(ii) In Usha International Ltd:
• Got major order for Usha C/fans & Geysers from GMDA for 700 flats of Games Village during 33rd National Games in Gauhati.
• Become the market leader in Institutional fan trade in entire N.E.by having 55 to 60 % market share yearly.
• Got total 18 spot recognition award from Managing Director of present Organization in last five years.
• Got six promotions within five years in Usha.
• As a PIC excellent performer in the financial year 2006-07.
