All fuel stops do not have A1 plazas

In response to the query by a family/group travelling from Bangalore to Munnar,the following was mailed to them…it may be useful to others who would wish to travel the tried and tested route.
I will request the travelling party to post their comments on the blog for the benefit of all others so as to pass on the advantage.

Pan India, we are over a 100 A1 Plazas dotting the Indian roads making it India’s largest organised Highway Hospitality Restaurant chain.
Yes,we are probably the most secure places on the highways as regards food quality & service, clean & hygienic toilets & showers,entertainment room,comfortable rest areas,value convenience shopping and safe parking.
We also have quality fuel for all vehicles.
Presently we do not provide organised accomodation at our plazas,however we do understand the travelling customers demands’ and constantly try to meet up with the neccessities.You must have read of the bikers’ experiences and halts at our plazas on various blogs, but that is a different ball game with adventure and bachelor groups making the trips.
You may perhaps look up the opportunity to use the A1 plazas rest arm which has charpoys provided for relaxation.You may however be required to carry some bedding or sleeping bags since this part of the year is a bit chilly,especially at nights.
ROUTE(approximate distances):
Take NH 7 from Bangalore to Hosur(40 kms)to Salem(100 kms) to Karur(120 kms) to Dindigul(75 kms)to Munnar.
OR, From Salem move towards Shankagiri(70 kms) to Pallipalyam(20 kms) to Coimbatore150 kms) to Pollachi(70 kms) to Udumalpet(50 kms) to Munnar.
OR, From Karur move towards Dharapuram(120 kms) to Udumalpet(70 kms) to Munnar.

A1 Plazas enroute:
A1 Plaza Hosur is about 3 kms after the Hosur Town on NH 7.
A1 Plaza Salem is about 8 kms after the Salem City on NH 7.
A1 Plaza Arasur is about 21 kms before Coimbatore on NH 47.
A1 Plaza Ettimadai is about 37 kms after Coimbatore on NH 47.
A1 Plaza Dindigul is about 7 kms after Dindigul on NH 7.
You may use all operational A1 plazas at Hosur,Salem,Dindigul,Coimbatore 2 and Coimbatore 1(Hosur 1,Salem 1,Karur-not operational) and all possible Reliance fuel stations in the area.
All fuel stops do not have A1 plazas, but all A1 plazas are alongside a fuel station.
