SIM (subscriber identity module) which contains necessary information for authentification purpose and storage of phone numbers, so if the technicians come up with a way of making the same facility available with CDMA with their exclusive codes inserted in SIM then I believe there should be no problem changing handsets of ones desire every time one gets bored of the old one
